Purpose 

To plan, lead, and support activities and programmes as part of Young Islington Locality Networks and the Quality Leadership and Impact Partnership.

Availability

Evenings and/or weekends (available at least one evening per week)

Responsible to

Mary’s Youth Development Manager

Working Relationships

Independent Chair for the Locality Networks, London Youth’s Youth Sector Development Manager, Quality and Impact Steering Group.

Location

Mary’s Youth Club, Upper Street, Islington, N1 2TX and other locations as per programme requirements.

Principal Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, with the independent Chair of the Locality Networks, the regular network meetings of local youth services providers and other stakeholders.
  • Support the work of the Quality, Leadership and Impact Partnership, ensuring that youth workers and their organisations can contribute to and participate in the sector’s growth and development.
  • Develop and deliver the Islington Young Leaders Programme.
  • Contribute to ensuring the youth work in Islington has diversity, challenges discrimination, and works for justice and equality.

Expectations

  • Commit to an agreed number of regular sessions/time allocation per week
  • To be punctual and fully prepared, and appropriately dressed
  • Actively and consistently demonstrate positive communication, which both underpins and models effective interpersonal skills and team working
  • Be available for one-to-one support and team meetings
  • Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, data protection and security procedures and policies are followed within the delivery of all activities.
  • Support and assist in any necessary fundraising and publicity
