Business Development and Engagement Lead Position Title Business Development and Engagement Lead Hours Per Week 25 hours per week () Annual Salary £27,000 (pro-rata for part-time) Length of Contract Permanent Purpose Lead on income generation from chargeable services, local business sponsorships and donations, delivering excellent customer service and value to a range of stakeholders. Availability Days and times to be agreed Responsible to CEO Working Relationships CEO, Youth Development Manager, Youth Workers, customers, donors and stakeholders. Location Mary’s Youth Club, Upper Street, Islington, N1 2TX and other locations as per requirements. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 1st Aug. About the post We are looking for an outgoing, highly motivated individual who is bursting with confidence, loves networking and takes satisfaction from creating business opportunities and converting them into sales. The Business Development and Engagement Lead will be generating income from chargeable services, local business sponsorships and donations in order for Mary’s to be better resourced to serve young people and the youth sector in Islington.The ideal candidate will love speaking to a variety of different people, communicate effectively with passion and enthusiasm, be organised with strong administrative skills and be tenacious, driving opportunities from initial contact through converted sales to client satisfaction. Principal Tasks & Responsibilities Income generation Generate income for the organisations' work from a mix of income sources Project, agree and achieve income targets Create leads for the chargeable products/services and donations through marketing and promotional activities Spearhead new income-generating initiatives, donations and fundraising campaigns Communicate new product developments to prospective clients Take and administer bookings for chargeable services Produce fundraising reports Engagement and Partnerships development Generate engagement with new and existing clients and service users, partners and volunteers Coordinate visits, appointments, presentations, networking, and mailing lists working closely with a range of partners across the non-profit, private, public and education sectors. Work closely with QLIP (Quality Leadership Impact Partnerships) manager in fostering relationships with stakeholders including local authority teams, youth clubs and other organisations Administration and data collection Ensure data on existing and new clients and partnerships are consistently captured on Mary’s database Identify and escalate issues and risks as necessary Take part in the review, and evaluation of programmes, activities and projects Other Carry out all work within an equal opportunities framework Adhere to Mary’s Data Protection, confidentiality, H&S and all other policies and procedures This job description reflects the current requirements of the post.
