On 9th May, a group of our young people completed their final stage of London Youth City Leaders Keeping It Wild social action programme. The young people have been designing their own conservation project to have a positive impact on London's wildlife and their community. Their plans are to build bee hotels to live at Islington Ecology Centre and their partner sites, to protect the 200 species of solitary bees in Britain, as they are in trouble from loss of their habitats.

This evening they were invited to U + I to pitch their project plan and were successful in securing £600 for their project.

London's wildlife is in safe hands with our young people!
